Channa Masala

Salt, Coriander, Red chili, Amla Powder, Dry Tamarind Powder, Pomegranate seeds, Dried Mango Powder, Black Salt, Dried fenugreek leaves, Black Pepper, Cumin Seeds, Big Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves, Nutmeg, Long Pepper, Mace.

  • Onion 1 medium
  • Tomato 1 medium
  • Ginger 10g to 15g
  • Green Chilly 1 medium
  • Refined oil 2 table spoon
  • Chickpea/Channa (Boiled) 250 grams
  • Coriander leaves For Garnishing.


Grind 1 Onion, 10g to 15g ginger, 1 tomato and 1 green chilly to fine paste.
Heat the oil in a pan, add paste and sauté it. Now add 1 pouch (35 grams) Channa Masala and sauté it for 5 minutes. Add 250g Chickpea/Channa, 2 cup water to make a thick gravy and cook it for 5 minutes on low flame.
Serve Garnished with green coriander leaves.
Enjoy tasty and spicy Channa.

    chana masala is good (comes with 2 packs inside) , one pack is enough if you are preparing for family of four however if you are looking for road side chola kulcha flavour then after preparing chana masala in a kadhai or cooker , chop 2 big pink or white onions with 2 bombay tomatoes (not desi) your local subzi wala knows, chop them into small pieces, put these into the chana masala, add 2 green chillies fine chopped and last thing squeeze half lemon (nimbu). now mix it. you can purchase kulcha from any grocery store.

    It is a perfect blend of spices. The channas were delicious and tasted very authentic. I made Bhatooras with them and everyone loved them. I live in the USA wish I could buy this here !
